As a **Security Officer - Unarmed Government Building Patrol** in **Brooklyn, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, supporting a secure environment for all who visit or reside there. Through routine patrols and a visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and maintain a visible security-related presence.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to the appropriate personnel.

+ Interact with individuals at the location in a professional manner, assisting with inquiries or concerns as appropriate.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities and incidents during the shift.

+ Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives about security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

+ Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

+ Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
