As a **Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol** in **Roanoke, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a leading tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure atmosphere for clients and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will interact professionally with staff and guests, respond to security-related situations, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location within the tech, media, and telecom sector.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.

+ Maintain clear and accurate logs or reports of daily activities and incidents as required by site procedures.

+ Collaborate with site personnel and/or local law enforcement as directed, supporting a secure environment.

+ Assist with access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
