As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to maintain a secure environment at a government location by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and guidelines, and responding appropriately to emergencies.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business and its perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.

+ Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter unwanted behavior.

+ Support Allied Universal leadership and local law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid security guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

+ Experience with x-ray screening is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
