What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and other unwanted activities.

+ Monitor and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the retail environment.

+ Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and/or weapons in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

+ Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

+ Work closely with store personnel and/or management to address security-related concerns and assist with loss prevention efforts as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must possess an Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Must have a Level III Armed Certification if located in Texas.

+ Must have an valid Drivers License for more than 1 year.

+ CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
