As a **Security Officer - Access Control - Weekdays** in **York, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. Your responsibilities include access control duties, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. You will use technology and communication skills to contribute to a secure environment for our client’s operations. What You'll Do:

+ Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.

+ Follow site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies when performing security-related tasks at logistics and distribution locations.

+ Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors in accordance with site protocols.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.

+ Document and report incidents, security-related violations, or suspicious activity as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

+ Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership to address security-related needs within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
