What You'll Do:

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location, including campus buildings and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by assisting students, staff, and visitors as needed.

+ Participate in emergency response activities, including administering support during medical emergencies, evacuations, and/or other urgent situations.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activity around the location.

+ Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.

+ Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in a timely and accurate manner according to location and Allied Universal guidelines.

+ Remain alert and professional while carrying out all security-related tasks, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

+ Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
