Pay: $17.50 - $19.00/Hr. Looking for Both Full-Time and Part-Time Employees.

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Line Cook to join our team at Aztec Grill, located inside Redwood Market (part of Jacksons Food Stores). The Line Cook plays a key role in preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced convenience store and grill environment, ensuring recipes are followed, cleanliness and safety standards are maintained, and food is served accurately and on time.

What You’ll Do as a Line Cook

+ Prepare and cook food according to Aztec Grill and Redwood Market recipes

+ Work quickly while maintaining food safety standards and regulations

+ Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace

+ Stock and prep fresh ingredients for daily use

+ Clean and organize kitchen equipment after use

+ Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service

+ Take on additional duties as needed to support store and food operations

What We’re Looking For

+ Previous food service experience (QSR, restaurant, or similar) is a plus, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

+ Knowledge of food safety best practices and ability to work with minimal oversight

+ Safety-focused and able to maintain a clean, compliant environment

+ Possess a valid California Food Handler Certificate or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

+ Adaptable and able to embrace change with minimal disruption

+ Strong communication and teamwork skills with a respectful approach

+ Reliable, punctual, and committed to following through on tasks

+ Team-oriented, leading by example and supporting others

+ Highly organized, efficient, and driven to improve processes

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to stand for most of your shift with repetitive motions (reaching, bending, twisting)

+ Lift and carry up to 40 pounds

+ Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently

+ Work safely in a kitchen and market environment that may include heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals
