Job Description: Senior Manager
A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager, Digital Product for Client & Clinical Experience is skilled and experienced to lead a product development team. Responsible for team backlog development and prioritization, maintaining the integrity of features or components, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, and other members of the team. They will also identify, revise, and socialize team metrics to achieve the defined objectives and key results (OKRs), aligned with business objectives. This individual share accountability with the Engineering counterpart for the delivery of outcomes by the team.
The Senior Manager, Digital Product for Client & Clinical Experience supports their respective product leadership across several Client & Clinical products. They define and drive the execution of initiatives that cross multiple products/experiences/ lines of business, support the translation of business and user needs into technology-enabled solutions, ensure the product roadmap is optimized to achieve long-term key user and business goals. This role is also responsible for creating and managing the product development roadmap, and for coordinating dependencies across teams. They function as the main point of contact for successful Epic delivery and final customer outcomes, working directly with the Product Lead when necessary to ensure features are on track for near-term and long-term delivery. This individual will drive status for cross-product metrics and develop initiative-level measurement plans through alignment across key stakeholders. They will drive the successful delivery and go-to-market plan of their integrated product areas and socialize updates with senior leadership.
This individual will work closely and cross-functionality with others in Product Management and business stakeholders to communicate critical updates and insights, specifically to key stakeholders and organization leaders.
What you will do
+ Defines the Epic/initiative vision through a deep understanding of customer needs and complexity through communication with Product Management. Effectively communicates the product vision to team members
+ Drives alignment of end-to-end experiences across products and channels while also evaluating consistency of the experiences across different channels
+ Responsible for reviewing and aligning roadmaps and workforce management tools across their respective solution and product areas
+ Supports Product Management to develop feature-level roadmaps for their features that supports the broader Epic/ initiative roadmap
+ Manage backlogs for products, experiences, and/or lines of business; will often support Product Management on refining specific products or experiences.
+ Lead a cross-functional product team through discovery and define scope to achieve user and business outcomes and communicate updates and changes to Product Management.
+ Leads identification of exploration enablers needed and owns discovery and architectural runway; includes writing enabler features and documenting learning outcomes.
+ Create Epic/initiative-level measurement plans including success metrics, thresholds, and release plans. Ensure alignment with key stakeholders prior to deliver, report on critical updates, and contribute to product-level analyses as necessary.
+ Uses performance data to identify issues quickly, and develop new insights and hypothesis about product health/
+ Drive status for objectives and key results (OKRs), aligned with business objectives, and other key metrics as needed.
+ Understands product health to inform roadmap and stakeholder updates. Key metrics include things like core Product Metrics (e.g.., Visits, Success Rates, etc.), Technical Health (i.e., Site Speed, Crash Rate, API Performance, etc.), Customer Feedback (e.g., App Rating, Quantum Metric, Medallia, etc.) and/or other appropriate metrics.
+ Sets a positive culture by growing, coaching, and setting expectations on ways of working for team members. This is done through providing actional feedback, modeling leading practices, time investment in junior team members, and continued collaboration
+ As a part of the cross-functional team, collaborates closely with engineering, design, engineering, architecture, operations and other team members using agile practices
+ Interface and partners with Product Strategy to communicate progress, insights, and risks across the business, specifically with key stakeholders
+ Collaborate with business partners to deeply understand their business strategies and outcomes their teams are driving to ensure business perspective is reflected and communicated to product teams
+ Identifies and communicate product dependencies and assemble teams to identify solutions
Required Qualifications
+ 7+ years’ work experience
+ Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills
+ Adept at collaboration and teamwork
+ Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
+ Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
+ Adept product strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior working experience working in an agile environment
+ Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills
+ Collaborating with multi-disciplinary product teams
+ Comfortable and confident to lead team discussions
+ Creates a safe environment for everyone to bring their whole selves to work every day
+ Fact-based problem solver with the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues, evaluate alternative courses of action, and make sound management decisions
+ Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions. They should display confident decision-making while considering not only their product component or experience, but also the broader impact on the business
+ Able to coach and mentor junior team members
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
