Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Circuit Card Assemblers (CCA) who are responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards. The role focuses on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

+ Produce quality work to prescribed standards with a focus on continuous improvement.

+ Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those governing the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS).

+ Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

+ Participate in LEAN Events, 'Six S' activities, and action teams.

+ Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

+ Perform entry-level assembly functions, which may include prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings within Production.

+ Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation such as screws, washers, nuts, and have a basic understanding of build documentation.

+ Perform pull-test, verify tooling, use torque tools, and have the ability to interpret and assemble multiple units in depth.

+ Basic troubleshooting.

+ Access production tools (routers, parts list, work instructions, etc.) and perform wire prep, auto bond, and sleeving.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in assembly, circuit board, and circuit board assembly.

+ Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly.

+ Ability to read blueprints and wire tabulation.

+ Experience in mechanical assembly and using hand tools.

+ Proficiency in board assembly, wire harness, and cable assembly.

+ Skills in quality control, crimping, and wiring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and controlled environment with a casual dress code. Most positions require assemblers to use ESD wrist straps and wear smocks over their personal clothes. Shift hours are Monday to Thursday from 6am to 3:30pm and every other Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. Overtime is expected and required once hired

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
