    Job Title: Forklift operator/ Material Handler

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler who will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory management for our controlled material stock. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team to monitor, organize, and maintain our company's product inventory across multiple branch locations.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.

    + Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.

    + Enter and manually record inventory data using a computer and clipboard.

    + Load and unload raw metal materials both manually and with a forklift.

    + Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.

    + Coordinate material movement from stock to processing to support production requirements.

    + Operate material handling equipment to facilitate material movement.

    + Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system.

    + Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.

    + Complete material consolidation tasks, including maintaining a supermarket.

    + Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate them to appropriate staff.

    + Verify scrap materials.

    + Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

    + Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.

    + Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

    + Strong attendance and work history indicating reliability.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Warehouse experience.

    + Forklift operation skills.

    + Inventory control expertise.

    + Proficiency with computers.

    + Order picking and packing skills.

    + General labor experience.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in a large raw material supplier facility that stores, cuts, and ships materials to customers in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The main building is located in Auburn, WA, with shifts available from 4am-2:30pm, Monday to Thursday. Additional shifts include Monday-Friday and Friday-Sunday, with competitive pay. The environment is dynamic, requiring a focus on safety and efficiency.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70/hr.
