    Job Title: Interior Assemblies Installer

    Job Description

    As an Interior Assemblies Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing turf and rubber materials. You will work with trailer components, positioning and assembling parts according to specific instructions, routings, and blueprints. Your role involves using air, power, and hand tools to drill and attach aluminum and steel components, fastening plywood, installing pre-manufactured cabinets, and ensuring the cleanliness and flawlessness of all parts. You will operate various tools to attach walls, cabinet lining, and flooring, as well as install doors. Maintaining a clean assembly department and adhering to safety protocols are also key aspects of this position.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure and cut turf and rubber materials for installation.

    + Install components in pre-created trailer assemblies.

    + Position and assemble parts according to instructions, routings, and blueprints.

    + Measure parts to specified tolerances and inspect for cleanliness and flaws.

    + Complete nonconforming material reports if flaws are found.

    + Use air, power, and hand tools to drill and attach components.

    + Fasten plywood to side walls using hand tools.

    + Install pre-manufactured cabinets and attach trim using riveters, chop saws, and drills.

    + Install doors and ensure proper assembly.

    + Maintain cleanliness in the assembly department to prevent foreign object damage.

    + Communicate with production supervisor regarding work status and progress.

    + Adhere to safety rules and maintain high performance standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, procedures, drawings, and blueprints.

    + Proficiency in reading a tape measure and operating basic hand tools.

    + Skillful use of hand tools and power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, drills, and riveters.

    + Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

    + Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of how parts fit and function together.

    + Precision measuring skills using calipers, tape measures, and gauges.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as a Machine Operator with strong mechanical skills.

    + Ability to perform mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

    + Experience in operating large manufacturing equipment.

    + Material handling experience with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

    + Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

    + Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.

    + Light electrical skills with basic knowledge of AC and DC currents.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer knowledge.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes regular exposure to a manufacturing setting, with noise, dust, and varying temperatures. The facilities resemble shed-like buildings and are not climate-controlled.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cresco, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
