    Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

    Job Description

    As a CNC Machine Operator, you will operate unique fabrication equipment required for metal bending and cutting edges of large window and glass units. This role involves operating CNC equipment specific to the industry, changing programs for each run, and utilizing computer-based programs and measuring equipment. You will also be responsible for operating saws, brake presses, and other specialized equipment for metal bending.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC equipment, change programs, and manipulate CNC control panels.

    + Utilize computer-based programs and measuring equipment throughout the shift.

    + Operate saws, brake presses, and other specialized equipment for metal bending.

    + Identify and interpret digital 3D drawings and reprogram as necessary.

    + Meet production goals overall and for the day within respective departments.

    + Utilize hoists and team lifts for moving larger pieces of sheet metal or glass material.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of experience with CNC equipment and metal fabrication.

    + Proficiency in CNC machine setup, operation, and quality control.

    + Experience with blueprints, measurements, and manufacturing processes.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.

    + Attention to detail and experience with measuring and inspection tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CAD, CNC lathe, and machine operating.

    + Visual inspection and quality control skills.

    + Ability to operate overhead cranes and perform mechanical tasks.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate controlled, busy manufacturing environment with loud machines. Be prepared for exposure to the outside elements for certain tasks. The facility operates on both day and second shifts, with initial training on the day shift. Overtime is minimal as the focus is on efficiency and meeting deadlines. Attendance is closely monitored with a 3-strike system in place.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
