Job Title: Medical Assembly

Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will receive comprehensive training on several operations related to the assembly of diabetic testing kits. You will be involved in various tasks including packaging, hand assembly of diabetic needles, coil winding, and machine operation. This role emphasizes quality over quantity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

+ Package diabetic testing kits according to work orders, ensuring each kit contains the correct items.

+ Stand at workstations with mats provided for comfort, handling kits of 5-10 items each.

+ Run kits through a scanner to register product ID numbers and set them on racks for final packaging.

+ Perform hand assembly of diabetic needles, managing parts ranging in size from a pen cap to a sewing needle.

+ Progress to assembling up to 1400 parts per shift.

+ Learn coil winding using fine wires, setting them into a machine clamp with tweezers, and inspect using microscopes.

+ Operate entry-level machines for assembling diabetic needles, monitoring for jams, and ensuring quality.

+ Collect, bag, and label finished products while maintaining a focus on quality issues.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 6 months of medical assembly experience.

+ Ability to work both sitting and standing.

+ Solid work history with excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a clean-room environment and familiarity with medical or electronic assembly.

+ Microscope inspection skills.

Work Environment

Work in a laid-back yet quality-conscious clean-room environment with some industrial machinery. It is one of the most ventilated shops in the area, ensuring comfort and safety. Gowning is required, but the dress code allows for makeup and jewelry. The role is based out of a facility on Grey Fox Road, operating on a second shift from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arden Hills, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $18.80/hr.
