    View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors and social workers, and other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

     

    View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support. The services provided by View Point Health contribute to the reduction in homelessness, reduction in crime and subsequent incarcerations, higher graduation rates, lower dropout rates, decreased ER visits and decreased inpatient admissions.

     

    The Charge Nurse will oversee and assist with guiding, and/or instructing the work assignments of subordinate staff. Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a unit or shift. Ensure that staff assess client health problems and needs. Under broad supervision, assesses client health problems and needs. Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records. Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and three (3) years of professional nursing experience or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Registered Nurse 2 (HCP071) or position equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, interpret and evaluate information presented in research reports, professional publications, referral documents and similar materials. Ability to write clearly and cohesively and to present information effectively both orally and in writing.
