Job Summary
EMC Services has an opportunity for a Control System Specialist supporting sites throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

New England's leading providers of building control, energy management and integrated facility
management systems. As we continue to grow, we have an immediate opening for an experienced field
control technician in our Service Department. We specialize in providing systems integration and control
solutions for schools, universities, office buildings, and biotech/pharmaceutical facilities.
Our service technicians are an integral member of the EMC Services team and are responsible for the
service and support of building automation systems at sites throughout RI & MA. Our customer sites
range from simple office buildings to laboratory spaces with complex sequences and stringent control
criteria. The Control System Specialist is face to face with our customers every day and are ultimately
responsible for the success of the building's control system. They are responsible for evaluating system
performance, reprogramming controllers adjusting setpoints to improve operation, troubleshooting
mechanical systems as they relate to controls, upgrading existing controls and software and performing
controller and field device repair and replacements for service issues.
This position works in the field at customer sites every day. Training is provided in-house, manufacturer’s
training classes and on-the-job.

Qualifications
+ Develop a rapport with customer’s on-site staff
+ Complete preventative maintenance and service visits
+ Through programming and device replacements / repair, correct operational issues to provide afully functioning system
+ Troubleshoot wiring, devices and HVAC equipment to assist the customer with resolving theirproblem.
+ Complete detailed field reports daily
+ Communicate with customers and manage priorities
+ Develop and modify software programs for controls of HVAC systems using JCI software tools(CCT).
+ Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customers including end users, propertymanagers, and contractors.
+ Adhere to all company, federal, state, OSHA and job specific safety requirements.
+ Ability to be on-call approximately every 6 weeks.
