Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace facility in Madisonville, KY produces a mix of more than 800 unique High Pressure Turbine Blades and Nozzles in support of 37 aircraft engine programs.
Approximately 85% of our products are deployed in military aircraft with a 47/53% mix of engines and repairs. As the Quality Engineer, you will develop, initiate, try storm, and maintain quality systems, procedures, guidelines, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. You will ensure that projects and products are compliantly meeting engineering and quality standards, demonstrate working knowledge of industry's quality system, advanced product quality planning, statistical process control, measurement metrology, auditing, event investigation, leading corrective action, and preventative countermeasures. As the Quality Manager, you will work and communicate cross-functionally and carry out the commitment of quality compliance to the facility's diverse environment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes
+ Standardize processes, tools and performance management system
+ Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
+ Act as a resource for colleagues and Quality Organization
+ Extract, compile, examine, and evaluate data to formulate into meaningful analytics to aid decision making of the leaders, colleagues, and organization
+ Explain information, develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field
+ Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues
+ Problem-solve quality issues through problem definition, measure the frequency and severity, analyze the data yielding from process/field/simulation, improve the situation with effective countermeasures, and control the processes going forward
+ Use judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/ GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, shop manufacturing, or quality + minimum of 3 years manufacturing, shop manufacturing, or quality experience
