Job Summary and Qualifications
Quality:
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Quality and Performance improvement and patient safety programs of Menorah Medical Center.
Accountable for management of interdisciplinary performance improvement projects in consultation with staff, management and medical staff, as chartered by the Quality and Safety Committee.
Formulates strategies for improvement of quality and safety and monitors outcomes.
Responsible for the timely acquisition, coordination and statistical validation of all quality and safety data.
Responsible for responding to data requests, both internal and external, while appropriately maintaining the proper security of the quality and safety database.
Responsible to collaborate with facility leaders, division leaders/staff, and other facility leaders.
Should have knowledge of Lean processes, action plans - Oversight of quality manager, coordinator(s), abstractors, etc.
Risk Management:
Facilitate the facility’s Risk management program. Monitor incident reporting and address below standard of care occurrences at facility to ensure high quality health care.
Provides guidance and facilitates integration and communication of proactive safety plan to reduce risk within the organization.
Collaborate with senior management and all hospital departments to identify safety/risk issues and address appropriately as needed.
Monitor and address facility claims and facilitate the Premium Credit Program to help reduce and limit medical malpractice liability and associated costs.
Infection Control:
Oversees the infection surveillance and prevention with the Infection Control Manager.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
BSN or BA required. Masters degree preferred
Licensure/ Certifications: CPHQ certificate preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years progressive experience in Healthcare Quality Management.
Minimum of two years management of individuals, team.
Prior clinical experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided is preferred. provided is preferred.
Experience in regulatory compliance and survey readiness (i.e. JCAHO, CMS, and State Department of Health and Environment) required.
Must have comprehensive understanding of the medical terminology, health information management, credentialing, quality and process improvement methodology, state and federal regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Strong writing, interpersonal communications and organizational skills required, including attention to detail.
Ability to collect, analyze data and report data including, statistics and financial reports.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills requires.
Experience with presenting information to large groups.
