    The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a **Structural Analysis Engineer (Senior or Lead)** to join the team in **Huntsville, AL.**

     

    The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting detailed structural analysis and to provide solutions to key challenges for the Space Launch System (SLS) program, as well as providing support to multiple commercial and government programs **.**

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Perform structural analysis and design of aerospace components and systems

    + Develop and validate structural models using finite element analysis (FEA) tools

    + Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure structural integrity

    + Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements

    + Support failure investigations and recommend corrective actions

    + Prepare technical reports and documentation for design reviews and certification

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    + 5+ years of experience in structural analysis or related engineering discipline

    + Proficiency with FEA software (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS)

    + Strong understanding of structural mechanics and materials

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment

    + Good communication skills, both written and verbal

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

    + Experience with composite materials and advanced structural concepts

    + Knowledge of certification requirements and aerospace industry standards

    + Experience with scripting or programming for automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB)

    + Prior experience in aerospace structural testing and validation

    Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $120,700.00 - $163,300.00

     

    Summary pay range for Lead (Level 5): $149,600.00 - $202,400.00
