Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing and architecting large-scale network solutions that anticipate future technological needs and challenges. Combine deep technical expertise in network engineering, routing protocols, and hardware platforms with strategic thinking and leadership capabilities. Create High Level Design (HLD) documents, influence technology roadmaps, and serve as a technical escalation point for operations teams. Design and operate large-scale networks, comprehensive knowledge of Internet routing hierarchy. Push platforms to their limits while understanding hardware and software limitations. Key responsibilities include proactive problem-solving, contributing to team roadmaps, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement innovative solutions. Design solutions that operate at Amazon's massive scale while maintaining reliability and preparing for future growth.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and three years of experience. Must have two years of experience in the following skills: 1) IP networking fundamentals and the application of IP protocols; 2) network analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting; 3) troubleshooting traffic engineering using BGP and large scale network design and maintenance; 4) working with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP (including route reflector topologies), OSPF, ISIS, MPLS and RSVP; and 5) managing large projects to completion as a project manager or lead.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. Hourly pay ranges include the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select.
Colorado $159,100 - $215,300 annually / hourly
For salaried roles, your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
