TECHNICAL ADVISOR
_Qnity has an immediate opening for an experienced Technical Advisor at our Newark-Bellevue, DE site._
**RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION**
There is an open Technical Advisor position in the Polymerics B7 Finishing Area. This position will provide technical and equipment support to the Building 7 Finishing Operation.
This position has availability from Job Grade D-E, level and salary will be selected based on experience.
**Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:**
+ Act as a leader of safety within area and support safety activities.
+ Provides technical support to engineering and/or operations to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes.
+ Advises on collection of operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment or products.
+ Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of equipment, instruments, and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
+ Conducts or supports processes related to root-cause or failure analyses and ensures timely investigations.
+ Supports process designs that optimize process reliability and cost.
+ Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of assignments, including equipment ownership, equipment troubleshooting, and procedure authorship and review.
+ Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.
+ Works within standard operating procedures and with a moderate degree of supervision.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
Your qualifications profile:
+ High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
+ Minimum 3 years of CMPT manufacturing experience or equivalent required.
+ Strong Safety and Quality focus is required
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills needed
+ Good written and verbal communication skills needed
+ Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, production procedures, EH&S procedures
+ Working knowledge of Excel, Word, SAP, WebMOC (Management of Change), WebEDMS desired
+ Strongly recommended with Six Sigma Yellow or Green belt certification
