    This opportunity entails being responsible for working with public agencies and private individuals to identify, negotiate, and purchase private property for public use or private projects.

    What You'll Do:

    + Prepares offer and conveyance documents for property being acquired for transportation or utility projects.

    + Reviews title work to determine ownership and encumbrances needing to be cleared, as well as appraisals to understand the basis of the offer and impact to the property.

    + Meets or communicates with property owners to negotiate the offer for the proposed right of way. Reports to lead right of way agent for project and/or right of way manager.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    What You'll Need:

    + HS/GED and 3 years experience with right of way (DOT, transit or utility) or other relevant experience.

    + Real estate license, as required by state law.

    What We Prefer:

    + Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

    + INDOT Prequalification for Negotiation

    + IRWA RWA/RWP Designation
