Chris-Craft, a legendary name in boat building, is seeking a Prototype Technician to join our dynamic Prototype team in Sarasota, Florida. What You’ll Do:

As a Prototype Technician, you’ll play a vital role in assembling and installing components in prototype boats. You’ll collaborate with engineers, support production training, and contribute to the development of new tools and fixtures. Your work will directly impact the quality and performance of our iconic vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assemble new products (e.g., fuel systems, below-waterline hardware)

+ Read and interpret blueprints and travelers

+ Operate hand and power tools (drills, grinders, caulk guns, etc.)

+ Perform lamination layups and fiberglass overlays

+ Apply decals, warning labels, and perform detailing

+ Support offsite repairs, boat shows, and marketing events

+ Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas

+ Travel occasionally for customer service or events

What You Bring:

+ 2+ years of marine hull prep or related experience preferred

+ High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)

+ Ability to read and redline documentation

+ Strong time management and attention to detail

+ Self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude

+ Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs. and working in various physical positions
