A Carter Lumber Door Shop Assembly Worker is responsible for fulfilling special orders as requested in a timely and accurate manner. This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements and assembling the product to the customer’s specification. Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

+ Previous experience in a millwork environment is preferred, but willing to train

+ Knowledge of tools preferred; General carpentry skills are a plus

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Possess strong mathematic skills to calculate measurements

+ Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ 7am-3:30pm M-F with occasional Saturdays and/or weekly overtime

+ Pay based on experience

Responsibilities:

+ Work on a Door Assembly line to manufacture and assemble interior Prehung doors

+ Utilize air nail guns, staplers and other tools needed to assemble doors

+ Ability to lift up to 75lbs

+ Pick and pull production material as needed

+ Ability to read a tape measure preferred
