Child, Family, and Youth Services within the Department of Health & Welfare has a current opening for a full-timeTechnical Records Specialist 1located in theBoiseoffice. This position provides a variety of records support functions; reviews and processes documents; maintains a manual or computerized records system; and performs related work. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Review and redact all Child Protection files for requested records.
+ Records Requests/Release/Subpoenas
+ Assist Deputy Attorney General with documents (records, subpoenas)
+ Prepare records for Guardian at Litem/contractor reviews
+ Track records on the Public Record Request.
+ Placements, new, changes and respites.
+ Foster parent reimbursements
+ Back up the front desk, answering phones, take messages and providing lunch coverage when needed.
+ Scan closed files and upload into eCabinet.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.
+ Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
+ Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
+ Experience interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. These complex decisions could have affected the social or economic well-being of others or would result in a service or action being denied. Typically gained by one year of work experience.
+ Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Typically gained by six months of work experience.
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.
+ Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel to create and modify electronic worksheets and design and print graphs.Typically gained by at least six months of experience.
+ Experience interacting with customers via telephone and / or in person to identify their service needs and route them to an appropriate person or service to address their concerns.Typically gained by at least six months of experience.
+ Experience working in an office or educational setting where I have demonstrated time management and communication skills.Typically gained by at least six months of experience.
