Quality Technician
Job Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for testing and inspecting products and processes at various stages of production, ensuring food safety, legality, quality, and authenticity of all products produced.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
+ Perform challenges of foreign material detection equipment, where applicable.
+ Conduct quality audits throughout the facility for Housekeeping and PRP monitoring.
+ Complete analytical test method validation studies.
+ Support the facility GMP program with coaching and monitoring compliance.
+ Perform analytical testing of in-process and finished products according to prescribed procedures and log data into the database.
+ Maintain legible records of all testing and ensure safe practice observing all EHS and laboratory safety guidelines.
+ Maintain QC document storage and backup system.
+ Provide back-up support for other Quality Technicians as needed, including coverage during vacations or absences.
+ Work flexible hours and provide after-hours support, including weekend and holiday operations.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in inspection, quality control, quality check, and quality standards.
Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled Quality Department. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes smocks, face/hair nets, glasses, and gloves. Must be open to working all shifts, including 1st shift (7 am-3 pm), 2nd shift (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am) as part of a 6-8 week training rotati

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Saline, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
