Wire Technician – Electrical Distribution Support

**Pay:** Starting at $22/hour (higher based on experience)

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Regular OT until 3–4 PM; occasional late days until 6 PM)

**Location:** Commerce City, CO/Brighton, CO area

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wire Technician to join our warehouse team supporting Xcel Energy’s field operations. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of electrical wire, components, and equipment to service technicians across the Denver metro area.

Key Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret work orders to stage wire for cutting

+ Operate wire cutting machinery to measure and cut bulk wire to specification

+ Maintain high attention to detail—mistakes can result in costly delays

+ Package and prepare wire and components for shipment

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area

Must-Haves

+ 6+ months of wire cutting experience in any industrial or warehouse setting

+ Ability to perform basic math (measurements, lengths, conversions)

+ Comfortable working 50–55 hours/week consistently—no exceptions

+ Strong work ethic and accountability—no disappearing acts or excuses

+ Ability to work in a loud, dirty, and temperature-variable warehouse (hot summers, cold winters)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
