• Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

    Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and optimize the accounts payable operations for our organization. This onsite position in Muncie, Indiana, requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to maintaining accurate and efficient payment processes.     Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and guide the accounts payable team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor account reconciliations.

    • Manage vendor onboarding, including 1099 setup, W-9 collection, and compliance with reporting requirements.

    • Monitor internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and supporting audit activities.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency.

    • Coordinate payment runs, including checks, ACH transactions, and other disbursement methods.

    • Maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.

    • Collaborate with the accounting department to support month-end and year-end financial close processes.

    • Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.

    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to build their skills. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

    • In-depth understanding of 1099 vendor requirements and related compliance standards.

    • Proficiency in accounts payable systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and improve financial processes.

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage team responsibilities effectively.

    • Experience managing payment methods such as ACH transactions and check runs.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
