    Senior Accountant

    • Location: East Metro, MN

    About the Opportunity:

    Our client, a well-established and growing organization with multiple business locations across the U.S., is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their shared accounting team. This team manages accounting functions for a large, multi-entity operation with over $700 million in annual sales.

     

    This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working in a collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage the month-end close process for assigned entities

    + Prepare journal entries, recurring entries, and expense accruals

    + Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

    + Analyze income statements and balance sheet variances

    + Manage a shared accounting inbox

    + Support internal controls and compliance requirements

    + Partner with various departments to research and resolve accounting issues

    + Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiency opportunities

    + Assist with special projects and other assigned duties

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    + 2+ years of relevant accounting experience

    + Public accounting experience is a plus

    + Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills

    + Proactive, curious, and solutions-focused

    + Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    + Collaborative team player with strong communication skills

    + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUM, IF, SUBTOTAL)

    + Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts and identifying action items
