    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts payable process while safeguarding vendor relationships and mitigating risks. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic retail industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assign and maintain vendor identification numbers in alignment with company policies.

    • Manage large-scale vendor master files with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

    • Review daily vendor change reports and ensure updates are accurately reflected in the global vendor management system.

    • Collaborate with internal teams and international office representatives to ensure smooth communication and workflow.

    • Verify invoices for compliance and precision before processing.

    • Investigate and input complex invoice data into the system.

    • Support the preparation of monthly debit balance reports and documentation for 1099 tax filings.

    • Address discrepancies and handle B-Notices to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Validate vendor records against regulatory databases and ensure tax documents are accurate.

    • Reconcile vendor statements and provide backup coverage for team members when necessary.

     

    Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and processing.

     

    • Strong experience with account reconciliation and vendor statement management.

    • Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

    • Ability to perform three-way matching and ensure invoice accuracy.

    • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail.

    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for tax documentation and compliance.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving vendor discrepancies.

    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
