Description

We're Hiring a Bookkeeper for a small but growing business in Wilton, CT. This person will be responsible for all AP/AR and payroll using QuickBooks. This is an on-site position 5 days a week in Wilton, CT so to be considered, all candidates must be commutable.

Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including postings to the general ledger using QuickBooks.

• Reconcile monthly bank accounts, credit card statements, and lines of credit payable.

• Handle bank deposits and ensure timely processing of customer invoices and collections.

• Manage accounts payable by processing and coding invoices, as well as issuing payments.

• Prepare and file sales tax reports across multiple states.

• Oversee payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate employee payments.

• Administer insurance policies and provide quarterly and year-end financial statements along with supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance with income tax filings for both business and individual shareholders, working closely with external tax preparers.

• Collaborate on quarterly and annual financial statement reviews with external partners.

• Manage annual property declaration reporting and provide additional financial reports such as gross profit analysis and W-2 calculations as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping with proficiency in QuickBooks.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Expertise in bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Ability to process and code invoices accurately.

• Familiarity with sales tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

• Experience with automated payroll systems and processes.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
