    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist for a client based in Issaquah. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll efficiently while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in payroll processing. This is a contract role that requires in office work in Issaquah, WA.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all company employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Maintain and update employee payroll records, including but not limited to salary changes, tax information, deductions, and benefits.

    + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

    + Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, providing clear and timely communication regarding payroll matters.

    + Prepare reports for management, including payroll summaries, cost analysis, and audits.

    + Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate general ledger postings.

    + Calculate and process bonuses, commissions, and other pay adjustments as applicable.

    + Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to verify employee data and resolve discrepancies.

    + Assist in year-end payroll processes, including W-2s and other tax filings.

    + Stay updated on tax legislation and compliance requirements to ensure company alignment with best practices.

    Requirements

    + Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    + 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-scale organization.

    + Proficiency in payroll software and tools, such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms, is required.

    + Advanced knowledge of payroll procedures and applicable laws/regulations.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
