Description We are looking for a dedicated Housing Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization and develop your career. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others, particularly older adults.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and distribution of newsletters to keep residents informed.

• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, for data management and administrative tasks.

• Manage waiting lists and coordinate meetings with housing applicants.

• Guide applicants through the certification and application process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Conduct tours of the property with prospective residents, highlighting key features.

• Handle document processing, including faxing and record-keeping.

• Provide excellent customer service through inbound call management and receptionist duties.

• Support leasing activities by screening applicants and ensuring eligibility.

• Maintain an attentive and empathetic approach when interacting with older adults.

• Collaborate with the property manager to ensure smooth operations of the housing facilities. Requirements • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including data entry and document handling.

• Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Experience in applicant screening and leasing processes.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage waiting lists and coordinate applicant meetings effectively.

• A demeanor reflecting years of experience suitable for interacting with residents and applicants.

• Patience and understanding when working with older individuals.
