    Technical Project Manager – Flexera Software Asset Management Implementation

    Overview:

    Seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the implementation of Flexera for a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on establishing a centralized SAM practice, managing vendors, stakeholders, and improving Software Asset Management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Flexera implementations amongst other IT projects and enterprise software deployments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resources for SAM platform implementation.

    + Define scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.

    + Act as liaison between internal teams (IT, Security, Procurement) and external vendors.

    + Lead meetings, status reporting, and communication plans.

    + Oversee technical deployment, including architecture, configuration, and integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, Active Directory, Cloud).

    + Identify and mitigate risks; manage escalations.

    + Track budget and provide financial reporting.

    + Ensure documentation, testing, and operational handover are completed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Previous experience managing a Flexera SAM implementation

    + Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 7+ years in IT project management; 3+ years in enterprise software implementations (SAM, ERP, ITSM).

    + Strong knowledge of SAM/ITAM principles and best practices.

    + Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget for cross-functional projects.

    + Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).

    + Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Certifications:

    + PMP or equivalent required.

    + SAM certifications, Flexera certification, and ITIL are a plus.
