Remote QuickBooks Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Accountant to support our financial operations on a part-time basis. This is a fully remote position with a 6-month contract-to-hire structure, offering flexibility and the opportunity to grow into a long-term role.
Responsibilities
+ Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks.
+ Handle full-cycle accounts payable and receivable.
+ Process approximately 100 expenses and 25 invoices weekly.
+ Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
+ Generate and analyze financial reports.
+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
+ Integrate financial data with Buildertrend for project tracking.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
+ Support AIA billing and cost-plus invoicing (if applicable).
+ Coordinate with subcontractors and manage COIs during audit season.
+ Manage high volumes of email communication and maintain organized records.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting with expertise in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and reconciliation.
+ Ability to process high volumes of transactions efficiently.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage large volumes of email and stay organized.
+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Buildertrend software.
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
+ Experience managing COIs and working with subcontractors during audit season.
+ Experience with AIA billing.
+ Background in government contracting.
+ Understanding of cost-plus accounting models.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nokesville, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
