    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Operations Finance Manager to ensure continuity in centralized finance processes across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role serves as the primary finance business partner for freight, warehouse, and logistics functions, supporting operational efficiency and cost control during a leadership transition.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee end-to-end centralized financial processes for freight, logistics, and procurement activities.

    + Maintain standard costing systems and ensure compliance with the costing manual across all facilities.

    + Provide financial input into projects and improvement plans aimed at enhancing cost efficiency.

    + Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventory audits.

    + Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory, recommending optimal disposition strategies.

    + Oversee inventory tracking, reporting, and reconciliation across multiple distribution centers.

    + Prepare accurate month-end reports and reconciliations related to plant operations performance.

    + Ensure actual costs for freight and logistics are recorded appropriately and align with standard costing.

    + Deliver actionable insights from complex data to support operational decision-making.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in manufacturing finance with strong knowledge of freight, logistics, and procurement operations.

    + Expertise in cost accounting and inventory valuation.

    + Proficiency in ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience preferred.

    + Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

    + Effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in supply chain, inventory, reporting, accounting, reconciliation, freight, logistics, and inventory/supply chain/manufacturing.

    + Large company experience.

    + Oracle and procurement knowledge.

    This is a Contract position based out of De Soto, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
