• Project Manager

    TEKsystems (Chicago, IL)


    Description

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior to Mid-Level Project Manager to join the team. This role will focus on managing and supporting business-driven projects across various functional areas such as compliance, risk, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations and a passion for driving process improvements and strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    - Support the planning, execution, and delivery of business initiatives aligned with strategic goals.

     

    - Collaborate with stakeholders across departments including operations, compliance, risk, marketing, and finance.

     

    - Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, plans, schedules, and status reports.

     

    - Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

     

    - Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment and transparency.

     

    - Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed.

     

    - Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and PMO standards.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Qualifications

    - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

     

    - 2–5 years of project management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.

     

    - Experience supporting business initiatives (e.g., process improvement, regulatory compliance, customer experience).

     

    - Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

     

    - Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).

     

    - Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar).

     

    - PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
