Description
We are looking for a senior Cloud/Software Development Engineer. This team creates small business stories that are sent out to be shared on multiple media channels. This person will be working on a digital asset management system supporting the storage, archival, and reuse of marketing materials.
This is a high-impact project requiring an experienced professional who can work independently while collaborating with various stakeholders including creative teams, content managers, and technical staff. This project focuses on improving the infrastructure of our AWS-based content management systems. This role will evaluate current deployment solutions and work with the team to optimize and automate, deployment pipelines, security updates, monitoring and alerting solutions.
This role will involve integrating 3P content management systems, working on systems operations, and transforming videos into correct formats.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
TOP SKILLS:
+ Expert in AWS infrastructure systems (RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.)
+ Strong background in Infrastructure as Code and implementing CI/CD pipelines
+ Experience with Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
+ Experience with code versioning tools such as Git
+ Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing
+ Experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services
+ Infrastructure as Code (CDK/CloudFormation/Terraform)
+ Building automated testing into CI/CD deployments
+ Observability (metrics, logs, alerts) - Cloudwatch, Quick Suite, SES
+ AWS Networking and Integrations (API Gateway, VPC, Route53, IAM)
+ Microservice-based automation/Scripting (Lambda, StepFunctions, SQS)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
+ Experience with large-scale content management systems (very nice to have)
+ Experience with systems architecture and design
+ Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
+ Experience in communicating with other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
