    Job Title: Security Systems Technician

     

    Employment Type: Contract to hire

     

    Experience Level: Mid-Level (2–3 Years of experience)

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday

     

    Hours: 7 am - 4 pm

    Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing a variety of security systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. This will be in commercial environments - new construction. It will be apartments, businesses, law firms, financial institutions, etc. This involves running cable and installing/mounting devices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Install and service IP-based CCTV systems

    + Install and service card access control systems

    + Install and service burglar and fire alarm systems

    + Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings

    + Perform cable running and terminations

    + Install electronic door and lock hardware

    + Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently

    + Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, professional appearance

    + Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide solutions

    Qualifications:

    + 2–3 years of experience in security system installation and service

    + Solid understanding of construction practices

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision

    + Self-motivated and customer-focused

    Preferred Skills:

    + Additional certifications in security systems

    + Experience with advanced access control technologies

    + Familiarity with industry standards and compliance

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayne, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
