Job Description
Summary
This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Scope
This position delivers Human Resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and databases of personnel actions, evaluations and assisting in ensuring conformance to all applicable Human Resources regulatory and program requirements. This position performs a wide range of duties within a framework set by the Human Resources department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
_Employee Relations_
+ Handle ER issues and conduct investigations, consulting with manager on complex matters and investigations; provide recommendations and guidance at the conclusion of investigations
+ Maintain thorough knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
+ Work with managers on employee performance matters and discipline
+ Pro-actively coach department managers to assist them in effectively dealing with employee issues
+ Understand and be able to explain company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations, and the need for compliance
+ Help design, conduct and track ER training programs
+ Help identify and track organizational ER trends and propose solutions that will assist managers in designing improvement strategies; track implemented strategies
+ Participate in information gathering and responses to ER related inquiries by exercising sound judgment in a manner consistent with company policies and practices, ensuring proper documentation
+ Compile relevant information regarding ER issues, investigations and other matters, and develop detailed and summary information and reports, including those for programs, processes, and procedures
+ Maintain a positive ER climate by promptly responding to department or employee questions or concerns, addressing issues proactively and advising ER and HRC management regarding proper company practice
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
+ Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in Psychology, Education, Industrial Relations, Human Resource (HR), or related fields with significant HR/Admin experience
+ Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification, or applicable HR accreditation
+ 5+ years of Employee Relations experience
+ Proven ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level
+ Extensive knowledge of US local, state and federal employment laws
+ Knowledge of international employment laws
+ Excellent investigative and report writing skills
+ Ability to establish relationships along all levels of the organization
+ Experienced trainer in HR-related topics
+ Experience with HR litigation a plus
+ Demonstrated problem solving, judgment, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of cultures and cross-cultural collaboration
+ Ability to build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders, peers and employees
+ Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
+ Exhibit team orientation and positive relationships with all levels of employees
+ Display an understanding of the company’s organizational structure, corporate culture, and business objectives
+ Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
+ Basic knowledge of internal database applications for designated discipline

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $84,000.00 - $146,000.00
