    Compensation:

    + Transit Management Analyst Trainee: $56,586 (Flat Rate)

    Responsibilities:

    The Transit Management Analyst Trainee is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to contribute to the oversight and enforcement of quality standards related to subway car inspections and maintenance activities. The Trainee will assist in the development and maintenance of databases and reports that track quality assurance findings, inspection activities, and field audit results. The Trainee will also assist with data entry, compliance verification, and data analysis to ensure inspections and maintenance work meet established technical and operational requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the review and documentation of field quality reports, assisting with timekeeping and related administrative tasks, performing database input and analysis to track defect trends and inspection performance, participating in field inspections and post-inspection reviews, and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to ensure identified issues are addressed. The Transit Management Analyst Trainee plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and strengthening accountability across NYCT’s Field Quality Assurance programs.

    Education and Experience:

    Transit Management Analyst Trainee:

    1. A master's degree from an accredited college in accounting, architecture, business administration, computer science, economics, engineering, engineering technology, finance, industrial psychology, mathematics, physics, public administration, public policy, transportation planning, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area; or

    2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 credits in one of the areas listed in "1" above.

    Desired Skills:

    + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.

    + Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work at various field locations on a 24-hour, 7-day week basis in the performance of assigned tasks

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    + Excellent d ecision-making skills

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

     

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
