About the role

As a Solution Architect you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions that support business goals in the Merchandising and Finance & Accounting domains. You will be a valued member of the **Technology & Engineering** team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions in a hybrid work environment.

In this role, you will:

+ At least 8 years of experience design and develop scalable software architectures using AWS, React Native, MySQL, Spring Boot, and Core Java

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements aligned with business objectives

+ Implement best practices for software development, ensuring high-quality code and performance

+ Oversee system integration efforts to deliver cohesive and seamless solutions

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers

+ Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards

+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with minimal disruption

+ Stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies

+ Translate stakeholder needs into effective technical solutions

+ Ensure all solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with long-term business goals

+ Optimize application performance and resource efficiency

+ Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation

+ Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across business operations

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a **hybrid position** requiring 3 **days a week** in a client or Cognizant office in **New York** . What you need to have to be considered:

+ Proven experience designing and delivering solutions using AWS, React Native, MySQL, Spring Boot, and Core Java

+ Strong background in software architecture and scalable system design

+ Experience in the Merchandising and/or Finance & Accounting domains

+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

+ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

+ Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences

These will help you stand out:

+ Experience mentoring developers and leading technical teams

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

+ Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns and microservices architecture

+ Exposure to enterprise-level integration and data security best practices

+ Passion for innovation and continuous improvement

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until November 29th, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $97,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
