    Overview

     

    Directs and oversees the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure $1,000M+/yr of capital programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, project controls, change management, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Plans and manages multiple company-wide processes including development of project scope, goals, change impact plans, work plans, cost/benefit analysis of proposals, estimation of budgets, timelines, deliverables, implementation strategies, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects.

    Responsibilities

    1. Leads, manages and develops the project management and controls team members

    2. Develops standardized processes, tools, methodologies and presentation templates including project timetables, progress/milestone reports, financial reports, resource, issues and benefits tracking.

    3. Ensures tools and methodologies are in place to assess the operational performance of the project portfolio and to provide readily available reporting on the health of the portfolio

    4. Focuses on portfolio risk and implements appropriate courses of action to mitigate risk. Escalates critical issues for appropriate and timely resolution as needed

    5. Facilitates the process of building a business case for key projects which includes assessment of options, timeline, cost, benefits, risk and recommendation prior to project approval

    6. Helps establish ongoing governance is in place and a continuous improvement / transformation plan is in place at the end of each project

    7. Develops business insights based on analysis of results and communicates key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making

    8. Conduct presentations and provide regular communication to key stakeholders, senior management and project sponsors on projects' scope, deliverables, status, budget (projected and actual) and revenue (forecast and actual).

    9. Develops measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes

    10. Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization, external vendors, consultants and other organizations. Maintains regular contact with executive sponsors and coordinates program efforts with other key stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, etc.)

    11. May be assigned an emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

    12. The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

    Qualifications

    1. BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field and/or equivalent education.

    2. Minimum of 7 years project management or related experience and experience managing large and complex teams.

    1. Project Management and/or Change Management Professional Certification.
