**Job Description** : Under the direction of the Distribution Center (DC) Manager, you will be responsible for an assigned area within the distribution operations. In this role, you will oversee your team completing the required KPIs to meet the area’s objectives. This may include but is not limited to receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and other assigned activities. It is the direct responsibility of this role to oversee the hands-on activities of the Warehouse Specialist. You will coordinate the assigned workload and prioritize daily activities to meet the organizational targets. Serving as the link between policy and employee, you will ensure the continuity of our policies at the hourly level.

Responsibilities:

+ Receives departmental work from DC Manager

+ Assists DC Manager in establishing and assigning work priorities within department or work area

+ Conduct training on proper safety procedures, performance expectations, and new technology changes to ensure that employees are keeping up with operating procedures

+ Oversees the completion of all assigned tasks within work area. Utilizes appropriate automated systems to obtain performance metrics and, completes reports as required

+ Communicates directly with employees and supervisor all operational matters, policies, and procedures. This includes distinguished safety requirements on a daily or recurring basis

+ Monitors the movement process of inventory to ensure accuracy of inventory is sustained

+ Effectively communicate with other department supervisors to synchronize workflow

+ Identify areas of improvement and apply innovative solutions in work environment

+ Orders require supplies for assigned work area. (Tape, wrap, pens, paper, etc.)

+ Promote safety, services, and savings wile fostering a team environment

+ Monitors employee performance, attendance, point policy, and handles employee actions as required

+ Communicates related information directly with DC Manager and, HR as required

Qualifications:

+ Previous leadership experience managing diverse teams

+ Experience: SAP, Numina Status, Shiplinx, Ratelinx, Yardview, Workday, Kronos

+ Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate others to complete tasks

+ Approach tasks and daily workload with a positive attitude

+ Experience leading within Distribution Center or Warehouse Operations

+ Must be flexible with work schedule and prepared to work overtime as needed

+ Ability to relate well with others, delegate work assignments and cooperates as a team member

+ Ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently to set priorities and motivate others

+ Experience using Microsoft products, Excel, Word

+ Ability to train, coach, and lead your team on daily operations within a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong organization and time management skills

+ Experience using Warehouse related equipment such as: Forklift, Stand-up, Reach Truck, Turret

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 4+ Years distribution or warehouse operation experience

+ 3+ Years Professional leadership experience

+ 2+ years SAP experience

+ Certified Logistics Associate / Technician, APICS, Six Sigma

Pay Range:

Starting Hourly Rate: $23.08

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
