    TheAdmissions Application Analystplays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and student-centered processing of admissions applications at Louisiana State University Shreveport. This position evaluates and analyzes applications for admission, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, state and federal regulations, and strategic enrollment goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, contributing to a seamless applicant experience and supporting institutional recruitment and retention objectives. This summary is not intended to be a comprehensive or all-inclusive description of duties and responsibilities. The Admissions Application Analyst is a full-time, unclassified, 12-month position.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    + Previous experience with admissions processes, policies, and regulations in higher education strongly preferred.

    + Proficiency in CRM and admissions management systems

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Position Duties:

    Application Evaluation :

    + Review and evaluate incoming admissions applications to determine completeness, accuracy, and eligibility based on predetermined criteria and program-specific requirements.

    + Identify and flag inconsistencies or missing documentation to ensure timely processing

    Data Integrity & Analysis:

    + Analyze applicant data, including academic records, test scores, and other indicators to support admissions decisions.

    + Monitor and report application trends, decision timelines, and key performance indicators to inform strategic planning.

    Policy & Compliance:

    + Ensure that admissions decisions align with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and state and federal guidelines.

    + Maintain current knowledge of admissions regulations and procedural updates.

    Documentation & Records Management:

    + Accurately maintain electronic and physical records of application materials, communications, and decisions.

    + Uphold strict confidentiality and data security standards in accordance with FERPA and institutional policy.

    Communication & Customer Service:

    + Serve as a point of contact for applicants, counselors, and other relevant parties to request additional information or clarification on applicant materials needed.

    + Provide clear, professional, and timely communication to enhance the applicant’s experience.

    Process Optimization & Technology Utilization:

    + Identify and implement opportunities to streamline application review and decision workflows.

    + Partner with IT and Enrollment Management to test system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.

    Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

    + Collaborate closely with admissions counselors, recruitment, academic departments, and financial aid to ensure a coordinated and student-focused admissions process.

    + Assist with onboarding and training of seasonal or new staff related to application review processes.

     

    Other Duties: Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
