As a Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. You will develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes, process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Freeport, IL location.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that we meet production goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, implement cost-effective solutions, and ensure that manufacturing operations are optimized for efficiency.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Expertise in process optimization and cost reduction strategies, with a track record of implementing successful improvements.
• Proficiency in tools and technologies such as CAD software, statistical process control, and project management software.
