Overview:
Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair tasks across a wide range of facility equipment and systems. This role includes diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and mentoring junior maintenance staff when needed. Maintenance Tech II serves as a key resource for complex troubleshooting and supports overall equipment reliability and workplace safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while handling shipments. Report hazards or incidents to management immediately.
+ Preventive Maintenance:
+ Execute scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. o Update and maintain accurate maintenance logs and asset histories.
+ Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair:
+ Diagnose and repair complex issues involving motors, conveyors, control panels, electrical circuits, plumbing, and structural elements. o Respond efficiently to urgent maintenance calls and equipment failures to minimize downtime.
+ Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
+ Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards during all maintenance activities.
+ Immediately report any safety risks, equipment failures, or code violations to supervision.
+ Project & Facility Support:
+ Assist in project planning and execution for facility upgrades, equipment installations, or infrastructure improvements.
+ Support contractor work by ensuring adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
+ Team Collaboration & Leadership:
+ Provide guidance or informal mentorship to Maintenance Tech I or entry-level staff as needed. o Collaborate with operations, safety, and warehouse departments to address ongoing facility needs.
+ Tools & Equipment:
+ Operate and maintain power tools, diagnostic devices, lifts, and other maintenance-related equipment.
+ Ensure tools and parts inventory is well-stocked and properly organized.
+ Housekeeping:
+ Maintain a clean and organized assigned work area at all times during your scheduled shift.
Physical Demands: Lift, move, and install equipment or components weighing up to 50 lbs., with occasional team lifts required for heavier items
Minimum Qualifications Required:
+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Experience: Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
+ Familiarity with RF scanners and picking systems is advantageous.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+ Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
+ Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
+ Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established safety protocols at all times
