Overview:
The Shipping Stacker is responsible for stacking, organizing, and preparing outgoing products and pallets for shipment in accordance with company standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of the shipping process, supporting the smooth flow of goods from the warehouse to customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while handling shipments. Report hazards or incidents to management immediately.
+ Stacking & Palletizing:
+ Stack boxes or cases onto pallets in a safe, stable, and secure manner.
+ Ensure proper labeling and organization of pallets for outbound shipment.
+ Shipping Preparation:
+ Wrap pallets securely using shrink wrap or stretch film machines.
+ Stage completed pallets in the designated loading or shipping area.
+ Ensure items are stacked according to order specifications and trailer load plans.
+ Quality & Accuracy:
+ Verify items, counts, and labeling for completeness and accuracy before shipment.
+ Report any discrepancies or damaged items to the supervisor or quality control.
+ Equipment Use:
+ Safely operate pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other warehouse tools as needed.
+ Inspect equipment before use and report any issues immediately.
+ Team Collaboration:
+ Communicate effectively with selectors, loaders, and shipping clerks to ensure order accuracy and timeliness.
+ Support warehouse team goals by meeting stacking and productivity standards.
+ Quality Control:
+ Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate department.
+ Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the receiving area.
+ Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized assigned work area at all times during your scheduled shift.
Physical Demands: Lift heavy cases up to 50 lbs. and meeting the physical demands of the role
Minimum Qualifications Required
+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Experience: Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
+ Familiarity with RF scanners and picking systems is advantageous.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
+ Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established safety protocols at all times.
