    Lube Technician

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Lube Technician to support operations at the Quarry located in Rockville, MD. This position is primarily responsible for performing regular lubrication, fluid checks, and basic maintenance on heavy equipment and plant machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

    WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

    + Lubricate Equipment: Grease and oil all heavy equipment and plant machines regularly to keep them running smoothly.

    + Check Fluid Levels: Inspect and top up engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and other fluids in trucks, loaders, crushers, and conveyors.

    + Change Oils and Filters: Drain and replace engine and hydraulic oils; change fuel, air, and oil filters as needed.

    + Inspect Machines: Look for leaks, worn hoses, loose parts, or other issues during lubrication rounds and report problems to maintenance.

    + Keep Records: Record all lubrication work, oil changes, and inspections in maintenance logs or checklists.

    + Handle Lubricants Safely: Store, handle, and dispose of oils, greases, and filters safely and according to site rules.

    + Assist Maintenance Team: Help mechanics and plant fitters with basic maintenance tasks or repairs when required.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    + **Education: High school diploma or equivalent**

    + **Required Work Experience:** Previous experience in equipment lubrication or maintenance of heavy machinery in a quarry, mining, or construction environment.

    + Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of how heavy equipment and plant machinery operate, with the ability to identify early signs of mechanical issues.

    + Experience with Heavy Equipment: Hands-on experience lubricating and maintaining loaders, haul trucks, crushers, conveyors, and other quarry machinery.

    + Attention to Detail: Careful and thorough when following lubrication schedules, checking fluid levels, and recording maintenance work.

    + Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to safety procedures for working around heavy machinery, handling oils, and preventing environmental spills.

    + Reliability and Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision in a quarry or plant environment.

    + Physical Capability: Able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing on equipment, lifting oil containers, and working in outdoor conditions.

    + Basic Recordkeeping and Communication Skills: Able to complete maintenance logs accurately and report equipment issues clearly to supervisors or mechanics.

    Additional Requirements:

    + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
