Bill of Materials (BOM) Analyst

The BOM Analyst plays an important role in helping keep product information organized and accurate throughout the design and production process. This position focuses on maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) in company systems, supporting updates from engineering, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with data, and likes collaborating across teams to help products move efficiently from design to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
+ Build and update Bills of Materials for new and existing products.
+ Make sure BOM information matches up with drawings and production needs.
+ Support changes from engineering by keeping records up to date in ERP/PLM systems.
+ Be a go-to person for questions about BOM setup and data accuracy.
+ Work with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to keep product details consistent.
+ Look for small ways to simplify or standardize BOM structures where possible.
+ Help identify cost-saving opportunities and potential part issues.
+ Assist in training or sharing best practices with others on the team.
+ Maintain simple guides and templates for BOM management.
+ Support new product launches and improvement projects by keeping BOMs ready on time.
+ Help track a few basic metrics around BOM accuracy and updates.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related area.
+ 3+ years of experience working with BOMs or product data in a manufacturing or production environment.
+ Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems (such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or Windchill).
Skills:
+ Understanding of product structures and revision control.
+ Good attention to detail and organization skills.
+ Comfortable working with Excel and basic reporting tools.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred:
+ Experience in a manufacturing setting (electronics, machinery, or similar).
+ Interest or experience in lean manufacturing or process improvement.
Working Conditions
• Office-based role with occasional time spent on the production floor or working with engineering teams.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 47,500.00 - 88,100.00
