    UPMC is hiring a Full-Time, Project Coordinator to support the office in Harrisburg.

     

    This position will support our Freedom House program in an educator and administrative capacity. These efforts will impact our community members going through training.

     

    Preference will be given to candidates with prior clinical background such as Paramedic, EMT or Nurse.

     

    Schedule: Mainly dayshift 8:00am-4:00pm but may vary for occasional required events.

     

    May require an occasional evening.

     

    Will require travel to York for six weeks for clinical cohort. Manager will discuss further during interview.

    Responsibilities:

    + Participate in design, development, and implementation of programs and initiatives.

    + Assist in the documentation of processes, standards, policies, and procedures for the program.

    + Develop and maintain documents and materials in support of the program initiatives.

    + Travel to various classroom sites within Allegheny County with the possibility of travel to surrounding counties in western and central Pennsylvania.

    + Work cooperatively with the project manager and medical director to ensure student and program goals are being met.

    + Maintain an understanding of UPMC health careers to support programs and initiatives.

    + Communicate with internal departments and external private and government entities to facilitate various program needs and initiatives.

    + Serve as a role model for students and maintains a supportive open-door policy in collaboration with the primary instructor and peer support specialist to assist students in overcoming barriers to education.

    + Ensure set up and tear down of classroom space including A/V instructional equipment and maintain a clean and professional classroom environment.

    + Maintain all student documents and records in accordance with organizational and program policies.

    + Complete other special projects or related duties as assigned. Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.

    + Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Public Health, or a related field required.

    + Experience in EMS, nursing, or social work preferred.

    + 2 years of experience in project planning or administrative functions required.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.

    + Have an interest in working with underserved populations.

    + Be able to work regular business hours.

    + Ability to coordinate projects, manage tasks, establish priorities, and follow issues through to resolution as directed required.

    + Be able to operate general office and A/V equipment.

    + Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in the organization. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
